01 / LOAN DETAILS

Understand the numbers first.

NSF provides temporary financial assistance to international students in India for needs including personal, educational, accommodation and transportation expenses.

AVAILABLE LOAN RANGE

₹2,500 – ₹1L

The exact amount approved depends on the individual agreement between the borrower and NSF.

STANDARD LOAN CHARGE

30%

The standard charge for the agreed loan period is 30% of the principal amount borrowed.

Example — ₹5,000 loan₹5,000 principal + ₹1,500 charge = ₹6,500 total repayment.
02 / REPAYMENT

Know when and what to repay.

LOAN PERIOD

Normal repayment periods offered by NSF are two weeks or one month. Other periods may be agreed between the borrower and NSF.

TOTAL REPAYMENT

Before receiving the loan, the borrower is informed of the amount provided, applicable charge and total amount to return.

LATE REPAYMENT

If repayment is not made within the agreed period, an additional late charge of ₹100 per day applies until settled.

03 / REQUIREMENTS

What you need before approval.

Before a loan can be approved and released, the borrower is required to provide the necessary information, documents and security requested by NSF.

Passport

A valid original passport with sufficient validity remaining for your expected stay in India.

Visa / Immigration

Valid documentation showing your legal stay in India, including relevant visa and immigration documents.

FRRO / FRO

Where applicable, FRRO/FRO documentation so its validity and details can be verified.

Residential Address

Your current residential address in India, with a valid rent agreement or other accepted proof of residence.

Student Information

Your school or university, course/program, year of study, student ID, and other applicable student information.

Security / Collateral

Depending on the amount borrowed, the borrower may be required to provide a valuable personal item as security for the loan.

04 / YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

A loan works on trust.

Borrowers are expected to understand the terms and follow the conditions agreed before receiving the money.

Provide truthful and accurate information.
Provide valid documents.
Keep your contact information and residential address updated.
Respect the agreed repayment date.
Return the agreed amount within the agreed period.
Communicate with NSF as soon as possible if an unexpected circumstance affects repayment.
Take responsibility for the security provided in connection with the loan.
Follow all conditions agreed upon before receiving the money.
Important information about overdue loans

If a borrower fails to repay within the agreed period, the loan becomes overdue and the applicable daily late charge is added according to the individual loan details. NSF may take appropriate steps concerning security provided under the agreement if the borrower remains in default.
